Terms of use

The straightforward terms under which we publish this site.

Last updated: 16 April 2026

Acceptance

By visiting dialoq.biz (the "site") you agree to the terms set out on this page. If you do not agree with any part of them, we ask that you stop using the site. These terms apply equally whether you arrive through a direct URL, a search result, a social share or a newsletter link.

About this publication

DialoQ is an independent editorial review publication covering Sri Lankan telecommunications. We are not a reseller, retailer, or authorised agent of any telecommunications operator. We do not sell SIM cards. We do not sell broadband plans. References to operator names, plan names and price points appear in our reviews for editorial context only, and do not constitute an offer to provide or procure those services.

Editorial content and accuracy

We invest serious effort in verifying the information we publish, including running our own speed tests and field visits. That said, the Sri Lankan telecommunications landscape changes quickly — plans are revised, coverage expands, prices move, and operators occasionally do things that nobody predicted. We cannot and do not guarantee that every piece of information on the site is accurate at the moment you read it. Where a review has become materially outdated, we mark it as archived. Where we find an error, we correct it and log the correction.

Readers should treat our reviews as one input into their decision-making, not as the final word. Check the operator's own website for current plan terms before making any arrangement with them.

Use of the site

You may read our articles, share links to them on social media, quote short passages for commentary or review purposes in accordance with Sri Lankan copyright law, and subscribe to our newsletter. You may not scrape the site at volume, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems, submit automated requests designed to degrade service to other readers, or republish substantial portions of our editorial content without written permission. For reprint enquiries, email [email protected].

User submissions

When you send us a tip, correction or field report through our contact form, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use the information submitted in our editorial work. We will not identify you by name in published material without your explicit consent. You warrant that you have the right to share the information you submit and that doing so does not breach any confidentiality obligation you owe to a third party.

Third-party links

Our articles link to operator websites, regulatory publications and other third-party resources. We include these for reader convenience and context. We do not control the content of linked sites, do not endorse their commercial offerings, and are not responsible for anything you encounter after leaving dialoq.biz. Exercise your own judgement, as you would with any external link.

Intellectual property

The editorial content on this site — articles, graphics, photographs commissioned by us, and the DialoQ name and visual mark — is protected by copyright and trademark law. Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution or commercial reuse is prohibited. Images credited to external sources remain the property of their respective owners and are used under fair-dealing principles or licence.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about its availability, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, DialoQ Editorial, its contributors and its officers will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on the information it contains. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the version currently in force. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of the site, are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any such dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo.
